dc.description.abstractThe results reported in this part of the thesis—namely those on formamide, N-methylformamide (including isotopically enriched species), and N-methylacetamide—show significant non?planar distortions around the nitrogen atom. The average values of the dihedral angles ??? and ??? are estimated to be 12±5? and 25±10?, respectively, with opposite signs.
