Electrode kinetics of hydrogen evoluion reaction & electrodeposition of silver, palladium & silver-palladium alloys.
Abstract
It has been demonstrated that chemically modified manganese dioxide can be prepared by oxidation of appropriate mixed salt solutions by chlorate ion.
Manganese dioxide–coated titanium electrode has been found to be satisfactory as an anode for the electrolytic oxidation of manganous sulphate solution to produce manganese dioxide.
A novel electrochemical cell has been designed to evaluate the discharge performance of manganese dioxide cathode.
MoO?? and V?O??modified manganese dioxide samples are found to deliver a higher capacity than either EMD or CMD in potassium hydroxide solution.
The double?layer capacitance values obtained from the charging curves indicate that the surface area of the chemically modified samples is higher than those of electrolytic and chemical manganese dioxide samples.
