dc.description.abstract | In summary, we have explored an interesting pH-dependent sensitization of Tb(III) using methyl salicylate (MS) as a sensitizer in aqueous media. Methyl salicylate was found to be a specific sensitizer for Tb(III) but not for Eu(III). Upon doping Eu(III) in Tb(III)-MS system resulted in the color change from green to orange depending upon the pH of the solutions.
