Swiriling flows between rotating coaxial and non-coaxial disks
Abstract
In this thesis an attempt is made to study some steady and unsteady flow problems due to a single rotating disk and two disks rotating coaxially or non-coaxially in different fluid media in a variety of interesting situations. Interesting exact solutions are presented in most of the problems considered except in one in which a perturbation procedure is used. The thesis is divided into four chapters. Each chapter begins with an introduction to the general aspects of the problem including a survey of the related works and this is followed by a brief account of the investigation carried out by the author. The symbols and notations used in different chapters or in different parts of a chapter are independent of each other and are explained in that chapter or in that part of the chapter.
