Three Dimensional Boundary Layer with suction and injection
Abstract
Chapter I deals with the study of incompressible boundary layer over a yawed semi-infinite flat plate with suction or injection by modified Pohlhausen method. IN the first two parts, a comparison of three different velocity profiles for the chordwise flow is made for the flows whose excat results are known and their corresponding spanwise flow is calculated by taking similar velocity profiles for the spanwise velocity assuming different chordwise and spanwise boundary layer thickness. These conslusions are further verified by studying chordwise diverging and converging flows which were studied by Gottler by a new series method.
Chapter II deals with the study of three dimensional effects of a small cross flow in the boundary layer. Chapter III deals with the study of compressible boundary later over a semi-infinite yawed plate.
