| dc.description.abstract | This thesis describes the work carried out by the author on the Nuclear Quadrupole Resonance in certain chloro- and bromo-cyclophosphazene derivatives.
The work can be divided into two parts:
Development of NQR instrumentation for the ranges 20–40 MHz and 140–580 MHz.
Investigations of Cl and Br NQR and its temperature dependence (77–300 K) to obtain information on structural aspects as well as on internal motions in seven cyclophosphazene derivatives.
The compounds that have been studied in this work are:
Diphenyl tetrachloro cyclotriphosphazene
Bis-(dimethylamino) tetrachloro cyclotriphosphazene, trans-N₃P₃Cl₄(NMe₂)₂
The ethylene diamino derivative, N₃P₃Cl₄(NHCH₂CH₂NH)
Bis-(tert-butylamino) tetrachloro cyclotriphosphazene
Tetrakis-(tert-butylamino) chloro cyclotriphosphazene
Octabromo cyclotetraphosphazene, N₄P₄Br₈
Hexabromo cyclotriphosphazene | |
